Gettin Better Everyday

I’ve been out a few times this last week and the bass fishing was very good. I hadn’t been out on the water much beforehand due to the flooding and the last hurrah by the summer wakeboarders. But now that the water is clearing and much calmer, I think the bass really want to eat as they seemed pretty aggressive. There are also a few new brush piles in some of the coves due to the flood waters and if you find one, throw a soft plastic in there and get ready! I have had the most success with soft plastics, but caught my biggest the other day on a spinnerbait (after hearing it chasing shad behind me). The water is in the low to mid 80’s and with the shorter days, I expect the fishing to be very good this fall.
