Keep Moving

Those who fish with me know that this is a hard thing for me to say, but keep moving. I like to fish slow and trust certain spots but its the start of fall now and that means one Important thing – the shad are moving and the bass are following. Started out on Saturday fishing some main lake areas and caught a few fish that seemed to be roaming but not on the typical structure.. Regardless, it wasnt great so I started fishing some new areas and experimenting a bit. I saw a few balls of shad on the move really shallow and headed back into a creek. You dont have to fish any faster (as I stuck with throwing plastics), just keep moving until you find em! I found one stretch (100 yds ?) around some docks and very shallow that produced 3 fish in the 4-6lb range. Water temps are in the low 80s and falling which should bring even more bait to the waiting and hungry bass.. There’s nothing more fun than catching big bass in super shallow water so keep moving!
